The World Health Organisation has released a framework document for national policy makers in oral polio vaccine (OPV) using countries entitled "Cessation of Routine Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) Use After Global Polio Eradication". The document sets out the rationale and guidelines to be followed by countries for the eventual cessation of OPV use in routine immunisation after eradication.
